Unfortunately I have to give this hair a very bad rating. For more than 15 years I have been wearing various protective hairstyles with synthetic hair without any problems. My scalp and skin are not sensitive and I have healthy long natural hair, but this Toyotress hair (crochet butterfly) made my scalp so itchy that I had to trim it 4 days after my stylist installed it. I didn't wash my hair before: there were no instructions in the package. Also, I NEVER prewash my synthetic hair. I've never had a need or a problem. I have tried washing my hair/scalp with apple cider vinegar and lukewarm water but this made the scalp worse. The chemicals in this hair appear to be very strong. I told my stylist that I literally felt the needles in my scalp trying to relieve the itch because it was so irritated. My ear also broke out in a rash. I am asking for a full refund and praying that my natural hair is not damaged. Lesson learned: I either use natural hair or prewash my synthetic hair. Into the trash!
