I should have read more customer reviews before buying. A lot of reviews talk about how bad this bag smells. People even gave advice on how to get rid of the smell. I've tried a few because: 1. I'm disabled and can't go to the post office to return it. 2. This is a really cute wallet. BUT, the putrid smell of this handbag can smell the whole room! I use baking soda and Fabreeze! It's not even about smell. Do yourself a favor, save your money, pass the wallet on. You might find something better to spend your money on. Also, I don't know why Revain continues to allow this item to be sold. It is clear that the seller does not care about the buyer, otherwise he will do something with the smell or stop selling it. TO UPDATE! I dunked my wallet in a bowl of warm water with some Dawn dish soap and a capful of Spic and Span. (At that point I had nothing to lose.) I rinsed it out briefly and then left it on for about 20 minutes. I took it out of the water and rinsed it several times, drained it, then sprayed it inside and out with Fabrice, then turned it inside out, used a towel to soak up as much water as possible from the inner lining, then dried it off a bit with a hair dryer and then let it go air dry. He came out in great shape and the smell is gone! I took the attached photo with my stuff.
