I bought it to replace my, what I would call, the legendary VX Revolution, which had served me well for a decade. It was reliable throughout that time. On the previous model, the left button would occasionally short out, double click, and become unresponsive. Wrote a question in support of Logitech, asking whether it is possible to fix the button on the old mouse, but as of the second day, there has been no response. In spite of the fact that I have only spent one day using the G603, I am able to tell the following about the wheel: it is utter garbage in comparison to the one on the Revolution. It's not that it doesn't work well; it's just that there is no inertia, which makes scrolling through vast texts less comfortable; the tactile sensations are also radically different; and that's not even mentioning the fact that there is no horizontal scrolling. The mouse is far bigger, and the hand position is less natural than it was on the revolution. There is no cutout for the thumb, although this is more of a matter of custom and individual taste than anything else, despite the fact that in terms of ergonomics, it is plainly at a disadvantage. The HERO sensor operating at a resolution of 12022 dpi was the source of the most significant confusion. Can someone please explain to me why there is a need for such sensitivity? Even at a resolution of 3000 dpi, the cursor moves at a breakneck pace. Even if you switch on a polling rate of 1000 hertz, it will be impossible for you to keep up with the pointer since it moves too quickly. If it is only used for marketing, then what is the point? I adjusted it to 1200 dots per inch, the same as it was on the previous mouse. A polling rate of 125 hertz provides an excellently smooth movement. Even if the sensitivity margin is obviously too high, I will continue to fiddle around with the parameters in general. Additionally, the rationale behind allocating buttons by default under the thumb is strange: the one that is further away is the back button, and the one that is closer is the forward button. Immediately reassigned, as this cannot be the correct course of action in any way. In general, as compared to the previous top-of-the-line mouse, it does not cause any excitement at all. She functions perfectly well.
