Not suitable for knives.
The lower grain bands are too stiff and inflexible. If you try to use it with a blade sharpening guide on a Worksharp sharpener, it will grind on the guide. May be useful for sharpening tools such as axes or lawn mower blades, but not for sharpening or sharpening guide blades.
