Poor attachment system, not wide or long enough

Q: How strong is the chain? A: Stronger than the weakest link. This blanket has serious design flaws that limit its suitability for its intended use. I installed this on my 2012 Camry which is not a large car. While the ceiling covered the seating area, it was barely noticeable. This is a problem because it means the seat cannot be fully secured unless the straps and other fasteners work perfectly. You are not. The blanket has three attachment points. First, it's a pair of fabric straps that drape over the rear headrests. They hold the duvet pretty well if you have headrests. If not, well... The second attachment point is a pair of short plastic tubes that attach to the center seam of the quilt, left and right. You slide them into the space between the bottom cushion and the seat back, and the pressure holds them in place. They also work well, but only for a span that includes pipes and the space between them. The third closure consists of a set of elastic loops sewn into the lower front corners and another set of short elastic ends with a rounded metal hook. Both elastics are flimsy with no adjustment options and I would be shocked if they retained their elasticity over time. To be honest I don't understand why they are elastic to begin with; They must be some kind of adjustable strap. The straps are extremely important as they serve to secure the front edge and sides of the blanket to the seat. As mentioned, the blanket barely covered my Camry's pillow. So if the elastic bands couldn't keep the blanket from moving, the pillow would be exposed and the seat protector would be gone. I can't report how well the groups actually worked. Because in my Camry they have nothing to turn over and touch, they just don't work. Take a large blanket, cut out some holes for the headrests, make sure there is enough fabric to generously drape the front and sides, and congratulations on not wasting your money.
