I know you get what you pay for. I didn't have high expectations of her. Things made from pressed cardboard and a pin/cam design are almost never very strong (with a few exceptions I've seen over the last few decades), but this one is even smaller than the cheapest thing I've seen had ever seen. Assembly is easy, less than 20 minutes to have both together. The wood is VERY thin. The laminate is applied unevenly around the edge - just by lifting one of the top pieces I cut my finger on the edge of the laminate at the edge where it wasn't installed properly and it was sitting low so it was under the edge protruded and did not reach the top edge in this area. Furniture curves have been using these rotary curves and shafts for a long time. Sauder is probably best known for this. But where Sauder and some others use hard cams that have a "middle" position so they stay locked and can't come loose, they're cheap, flimsy, and don't have excessive middle position, so all you can do is tighten them enough to do. to hold things together without overtightening or breaking them. The legs are rough wood, and like many companies, they nail little plastic legs to protect the floor and keep them from snagging on the carpet. But here there's only one for each leg, and they're tiny. Depending on the carpet, these may or may not matter, and you can still easily get caught. I'd rather see two legs, or even just a stripe. They are packaged reasonably well but there is still a lot of contact between parts during transit and it shows. damage and potholes. I couldn't assemble one of these as the front was intact SOMEWHERE as all the parts were slightly damaged and I couldn't position them all to make an undamaged front. So they're cheap, they're flimsy, but for the price they're to be expected and still could get a higher star rating if they had at least some quality control checking what comes out of their factories. I use them to replace the nightstand that came with my platform bed which is now too low as I have a high memory foam mattress. So this will work as I can now see my alarm clock without looking over the edge of the bed. But with just a little quality control, even cheap and fragile ones like these can earn three or four stars.
