The biggest complaint about personal inkjet printers is a good one. Ink. It's always expensive and you feel like you're wasting the lion's share of your purchase on fancy packaging and a plastic shipping mechanism. We use our printer for everyday use and do a decent amount of 4x6 photo printing. These XL inks definitely last longer than the standard versions that come with the printer and yellow always comes first. But they work as advertised and never last as long as you would like. We've had our printer for 2 years now and we've replaced the ink once a year. Using the special 4x6 paper, the colors seem to come out and the drying time is very fast. I have seen no fading on images printed with this ink 2 years ago and it is advertised as not fading so I think it works as advertised.
