Review on Aluminum Carpenter Woodworking Measuring Detachable by Lokesh Das

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The ruler does not jam and oscillate in the machined aluminum part.

The example of this product I received requires a spacer between the ruler and the aluminum case to work properly. When four screws are screwed into the machined aluminum, the ruler does not catch and slides freely in the tool. Also, the ruler is narrower than the slot cut in the aluminum to hold it, leaving too much free space inside to find the center of anything accurately. If the ruler were thicker and wider it could be a quality tool, but as it is it doesn't do the job it's supposed to do. Rather than bother with offsets, I cut the washers to fit under the ruler to hold the screws in place, and then carefully adjusted by tightening to ensure the ruler is at the correct angle. The picture shows seals without a ruler. This tool was a big disappointment and I do not recommend it. I gave one star for accuracy because it was useless without my modification. I gave two stars for ease of use due to the time it takes to set up. I gave two stars for durability because the ruler is really too flimsy for this application and I'm concerned about its durability.

Pros
  • Find center easily: With the square center line measuring tool you can measure the center and mark it on soft metals or wood, it is also suitable for determining the exact centers, e.g. B. Draw 2 random lines with the appropriate ruler , and then the intersection point is the center circles
Cons
  • No instructions
