Often when I buy leather products online, they aren't as nice as the pictures suggest, or in a few instances, aren't even leather. In this case, it is exactly as described. A rich, dark brown color, no odd smell (as is often the case when leather comes from overseas), and the packaging was quite delightful. It was in a nice little muslin bag, and then inside a lovely little envelope style box that was tied with a piece of jute. Inside the cover was a postcard and bookmark, both with images from Paris. They really went to a lot of effort to make the buyer feel like they had purchased something special. And guess what? It worked! Seriously though, look at the pictures as I think you can get a rough idea of the quality. Very reasonably priced, and fits the Field Book perfectly.
