The material is definitely more rigid and not as pliable as the OEM Garmin band which makes it not quite as comfortable. It is NOT uncomfortable by any means, just not as comfy as the original. Having said that, it seems to be more durable than the original. Time will tell if the added rigidity of the material makes it brittle over the or actually helps but after 6 months it is still perfect so it was worth every penny of the price. Even if it breaks after a year, I would much rather spend a couple bucks on these and put a new one on every year than pay Garmin the insane money that they want for theirs that doesn't hold up anyway.
