I think I'm spoiled by the Stanley Max range of thick bands and their thick bands that don't flap when stretched. They just feel a little cheap, from the plastic chrome body to the thin strap and lack of features like a magnet at the top. While they're great for tossing some cheap tape measures in a toolbox or car, they're not that high quality and don't seem to be everyone's favorite. However, they're relatively comfortable to use, work well, the little locking mechanism works great, and the fact that they're mostly plastic, especially on the body, means they're easy to carry around. It's nice to have a 16 meter tape that you can just slip in your pocket and not realize you're wearing it to a consultation. So I think this set has both pros and cons.
