This is one hell of a well-made and intelligently designed tripod, with every detail focused on the soul of the user. The construction is ALL METAL but very light. The clips and dials are plastic, but they're strong and easy to use. The locking wheel in the center of the tripod controls leg opening, making it as stable as you want it to be. This dial is very firm and non-slip, which is also helped by the large ribbed rubber grips on the bottom. Camera mount positioning is controlled by a ratchet that's light years ahead of a ball or similar element that can slide. This makes positioning your camera/webcam/GoPro much more stable and virtually ensures it won't slip. 3 large, durable, easy-to-use clamps extend the tripod to a whopping 67 inches. It also comes with a nifty Bluetooth remote control, dedicated buttons for iPhone and Android, various adapters including a trendy GoPro! Conclusion: This is the best tripod you can find and a very solid replacement for my plastic TR150.
