I was a little worried about giving this to our 3 year old grandson in case he couldn't work the remote control. But there were only 2 buttons, and he took to it immediately. He loves it, and once he opened that gift on Christmas morning, he wasn't interested in opening any more gifts.It is solidly made, so should be able to stand up to the knocks a 3 year old boy might make. It was nice that it came with two trucks and remotes so he could play with a friend.
