I got this as a permanent desktop hub to connect my tablet to an external monitor. The long cable is key so I don't have to move anything when I disconnect/connect the tablet to a monitor-height stand or shorter painting easel. It worked flawlessly as soon as I connected it, so I'm very satisfied in that regard! It's a lot smaller and lighter than I thought it would be, which is nice, but I had to tape it to my desk to keep it from moving. I love that all ports are on the front and sides, so it's configured well to stay out of the way.
