This review is for a 73 sq dual zone Zero unit

I have a classic ARB -Fridge from 2013 and they really upped their skills with Zero. I used to hike a lot and go on excursions. I really liked how effective these things are. They cool down quickly and use so little that I run on 12v marine batteries all day. Then I moved a few years ago and live on a mountain now so camping and traveling in general seems like a downgrade so I don't camp. Unfortunately one of the downsides of living in the mountains is frequent power outages and I throw away $200-300 a year on wasted food due to power outages and I really hate wasting food. So I didn't get that for camping, I bought this fridge in case of a power outage. It may be days and days before he returns, and if you live in the mountains, that's not a top priority. After looking at various backup power options, I came to the conclusion that for my needs, which are primarily related to cooling, it would make more sense to just buy another portable fridge freezer. I have a 12v battery system and am using a classic 50 liter battery but it is not big enough. I still lost $100 in groceries on the last outage after the storm. it ends now Some is familiar. Zero still forces you to press a series of buttons to change settings. Not a big deal, but it doesn't speak for itself unless you've done it many times before. I haven't used the app yet, but I see it will be useful. I like independent zones. Without them, you might have a fridge or a freezer, but you can't really have both. If you try, you'll end up freezing what you don't want to freeze and thawing what you don't want to thaw. I think the temperature is more accurate on the Zero. I had to install a differential adjustment on the Classic. To be sure, I used a thermometer inside. It's easy to ruin food by accidentally freezing things. I think the 74 liter setup is too big for a pickup. I was taking him on a city tour when I stopped at Whole Foods about an hour away. Takes up 2/3 of the back seat. Such a large fridge really needs an SUV or van. A 50 liter is a much better size for a pickup. Since this is for me just in case of a power outage, I put it on an 18" x 30" moving cart (perfect) and can conveniently move it from the closet it lives in to the kitchen, where it's in extended mode is used . shut down. There are a few things I don't like about it. Unlike the classic, there are no bars at the ends. These bars make it easy to carry and tie down, and make it easy to use an anti-theft device like a serpentine bike lock. At that price I'd happily block it if I've been using it camping and haven't been keeping an eye on it all the time. There is only one very narrow place through which a thin steel cable can be threaded, but even this can easily be broken with snips or an Allen key. They really should have thought about doing something that could easily get blocked. The 74 liter capacity isn't bad for carrying around empty, but there's not much room to reach for either. As if they wanted you to drop it or steal it. Haven't had it in a very long time, I hope it stands the test of time.
