I bought it twice for my composter. If you do the same, don't repeat my mistake and run the probe cable over a small brick. Install the brick over the cables so they don't absorb moisture into the brick. I don't know how long the probes will last in my compost as I've only had the probe in my compost for about a month (first block). , but so far I am very happy that my goal has been achieved: to see what the temperature of the composter is without having to climb into the back of the garage! I'm glad I found out before deep winter came. I have an air barrel and with two probes I can see what the temperature is like in the lower part where the worm colony is and in the upper part where the hot composting is taking place. (There the temperature reached 40°C, but now it has dropped to 33°C). Drywall in it so I'm very impressed with the Bluetooth radio penetration. The only improvement I wish for is the ability to cache historical temperature data like their non-food oriented thermometers.
