Poor quality, the edges of the fabric are hard

The quality of these towels is terrible. I suspect that as part of the manufacturing process they use a heated die or roller to "seal" the edges of the fabric to keep it from fraying. However, this happens in such a terrible way. The edges of the fabric feel terrible. Edges appear hard. I don't know what chemical changes happen to the rim when treated this way, but I'm not comfortable rubbing my glasses with a 'hard' object. I understand that the edge of the fabric is unlikely to scratch the glass as it probably isn't strong enough, but there is a psychological and experiential component to all of this. It's not good to rub your glasses with something with hard edges. One last note: I don't know if this is just a production error or something else, but these fabrics come in different colors. Every fabric has a hard edge problem, no matter the color. So if it's just a manufacturing defect, it seems pretty common to me because they probably use one color at a time when cutting fabrics.
