I installed the 2" stubby antenna on my 2016 Nissan Frontier mainly to get rid of the huge eyesore factory antenna. The look of the Stubby is great, barely visible. It's easy to install and so far I haven't noticed any decrease in reception in the metro area I live in. I suspect there may be some decrease in reception in rural areas but I haven't tried it out there yet.One note of caution though, this is a somewhat pricey little item that is easily stolen. Put a liquid thread locker on both ends of the threaded mounting stud to keep itchy fingers from stealing it.UPDATE: .After using it for a day driving around town near local radio stations I noticed the reception varies from good to mostly static for no reason, no tall buildings or obstructions. I can't recommend this item unless you just want to get rid of your O.E. antenna and don't listen to radio broadcasting.
