Review on 🔗 Stretchable Black Buckle: Maikun Elastic Belt by Giovanni Bedjohn

This belt was part of a Christmas present from a relative. However, after a few months of casual and normal use, the strap loop around the shank of the metal buckle broke along the seams parallel to the shank as shown in my first drawing. It is sold in Maikun Store (registered trademark). the name of Hangzhou MyQueen Culture and Arts Export Distribution Company, Zhejiang, China), which has received positive feedback from customers in the 4 years of its existence in Revain USA. However, the number of reviews has _decreased_ in the last 24 hours, suggesting that Revain removed some of the reviews and manipulated the number of reviews to reduce the value of the reviews. The belt is one of several China-made elastic band models that are very similar to each other except for the buckle shape (this belt has a model 2246 buckle, typical of similar belts made by Chinese manufacturers in the city of Yiwu). The loop that holds the buckle is made of bicast leather (i.e. a layer of split leather with a layer of polyurethane applied to it), also called PU, and has an almost minimal thickness (0.045 inch / 1.15 mm). The second picture shows a side view (green rectangle) of this material, whose polyurethane layer is lighter than the gap. As shown in the lower part of the figure, both layers can easily be separated by hand (green arrows). The artificial material is not only noticeably thin, but is also known to tear more easily than real grain leather of the same thickness. Belt broke relatively soon after my lifetime, with the same firmware as described above. This points to a manufacturing problem where the stitching process, with the holes spaced 0.055 inch/1.4mm apart, weakens the already poor tear strength of the artificial material as it tears in a fibrous fashion along the same row of holes. Location not only indicates a problem with weak materials or manufacturing defects, or both, but also a lack of adequate testing to avoid what is known in industrial production as the infant mortality stage from product failure.)
