I had to cut holes in hard-paste porcelain tile for shower taps. It cuts surprisingly well, just pour some water on the tile and start the hole at an angle. I stopped once to check and add more water. One cut was entirely on the tile and the other was partially removed from the edge. Both went well. I only did one cut with two different sizes but the price was low enough to be worth it and I expect to use them again in the future.
