I bought one of these beauties after having to return a Monster Hunter Generations N3DS XL due to a terrible top screen (which was actually a TN panel with color and 3D). Questions). I was a bit hesitant to pay the extra money (especially since the whole screen lottery deal with Nintendo collapsed), but I understand the price increase given that it's no longer commercially available (not to mention the limited edition). factor) - so I figured if it happened to be a top TN panel I could at least keep it for collection purposes. Luckily I won a BIG lottery and won a double IPS system with the one I bought and everything was really new and unopened. Immediately after turning on the system, I could tell that both screens were IPS, which was crucial for me as 3D eye tracking becomes useless on a TN screen (at least for my eyes). Having tested Monster Hunter 4U and Generations on a TN screen, I can personally say that there is a big difference between the two types of screens - you can see much more detail and "further" at a distance with IPS, where TN not only mutes color, but gives distant landscapes and objects a "darker" look. The TN screen also makes some areas/objects (at least in MH) too bright - like someone set the white level too high. Worst of all, though, is the definitely weird and unstable "stable" 3D. For me, the TN screen makes the screen flicker or go crazy when it's in 3D (almost like it can't track my face), while the IPS screen seems more stable and consistent, and doesn't make me dizzy when i play for long periods. As for this limited system itself - it's absolutely gorgeous, covered in dragon symbols from FE Fates which makes it just plain epic. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful LE systems I have ever seen. Of course, the back (black) is a fingerprint magnet, but that's to be expected with a glossy finish. I use a Duraflexi case (as well as a protective carrying case) for all my LE systems so I can play without having to constantly polish off dirt or marks. I especially love how they made this system two tone and even went so far as to make the internal buttons and slots the opposite color; it's really a yin-yang sort of thing, which definitely fits the theme of Nohr VS Hoshido. The amazing onscreen graphics and the extra C-Stick (although the C-Stick could be better designed) is definitely an upgrade from my Pokemon X & Y 3DS XL (my only other dual IPS system) and I'm very happy to finally be able to I can enjoy the new features of N3DS without sacrificing game/graphics quality. I wish everyone good luck typing on the screen. Unfortunately, as others have said, whether you get TN or IPS is completely random. So always let the odds be in your favor when making the decision to buy. **** And no, the N3DS XL does NOT come with an AC charger. This system also does NOT come with a downloaded copy of FE Birthright or Conquest - both must be purchased separately, or you can use an older 3DS system's charger. With this you will receive: System, Manual and AR Cards.
