My review is not just about the stainless steel tray but also my experience with the business owner and his commitment to customer satisfaction. This is a little long but I think it's important to share both reviews together. PRODUCT OVERVIEW: I have a feral cat that adopted me a few years ago and I've spent the last few years trying to give her a better life as she gets older. Of course, she will always retain survival instincts and be suspicious of new things, but she has a sweet soul. Living in Florida, the mild weather allows her to be outside, so I've never had to fiddle with a litter box. However, her age and frequent hurricanes convinced me to take her to my sheltered back porch to offer her a safe haven (she refuses to go inside), which also required her to use a tray. I've only had success with one large, flat plastic box, and even if I strained it twice a day and used fillers to get rid of the odor, I was constantly struggling to avoid bad odors from the heat and humidity. She also refused to use it after only a few days (who could blame her). It's kind of a testing ground for kitty litter. I was excited to see that the SS version actually existed, but at first I thought the price was more than I wanted to spend. I'm used to buying cheap plastic, but once I started adding up the cost of the replacement I've been using for a year plus the time I've spent cleaning and cleaning it, it made sense at least to try. I also felt uncomfortable sending so many single-use plastic bowls to landfills every year. Unfortunately, my original order and my replacement order came with significant dents, but the box concept and design was well executed (seller rating below). I also ordered the iPrimo XL cat litter grid which arrived in perfect condition. How is this product working so far? It holds a lot more junk than my old ones, which keeps things from getting stuck to the bottom or sides. The taller sides also hold the litter much better, and I've found I spill more litter than they do when cleaning. As I mentioned, I also use her dustpan and she picks up very small clumps, which always drove me nuts. The scoop also follows the contours of the tray perfectly, making the bedding much cleaner in general. What's more, it doesn't absorb odors and even in our persistent 30 degree weather, there is NO odor left after cleaning up their rubbish! How do you like it? Of course, while I was installing it, she had to inspect it to make sure it was up to her standards. She rubbed her chin on the corner a few times, climbed into the box and, no kidding, baptized her right in front of my eyes! She may not have modesty, but she meowed at me. SELLER REVIEW: I was very annoyed that both boxes were dented and for some reason thought they were shipped direct from the manufacturer. I emailed the photos to the seller and asked how both boxes could pass their QC and shipping department and arrive dented. The owner of the company responded in less than 24 hours and was very apologetic and to my embarrassment indicated that they had been completed and sent to Revain. He informed me that they ship large quantities to Revain in new condition and rely on them to pack and ship them on their behalf. While he wasn't responsible for any issues with my orders, he did everything he could to make sure everything was fine, which was extremely nice of him. I also found out that his company is a small American company and not a big conglomerate, so his gesture had more impact. I pulled my foot out of my mouth and apologized to the owner for my mistake. I hope others will keep my experience in mind if they have any issues or problems with their order, regardless of the product, as this may be Revain's fault and not the seller.
