I have a 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL with 83,000 miles. On a hot, muggy summer day in July, my air conditioner started blowing warm air and the temperature didn't drop even at a minimum of 60 degrees. It might blow "cool" air at its coldest setting, but it wasn't cold enough to lower the temperature inside when it was very hot outside. This became even more apparent when the outside temperature reached 90 degrees or more with no cloud cover. I took it to a local small auto repair shop. They determined that I needed to replace the control valve as well as my low freon level. They also noticed that my pressure was high on the low side and low on the high side. I ordered this item and took it to the store. As soon as they replaced the valve, my A/C immediately started blowing COLD ICE air at the lowest temperature possible, like a new car. Some stores may try to tell you that the entire compressor needs to be replaced (which will cost around $1,500). If you have less than 150,000 miles on your Nissan Altima I would be skeptical. Conclusion: If you have the same problem as me, just order this part. This will solve your air conditioning problem.
