non-medical use suitable for wristwatch

I'm not a medical professional but I needed a simple analogue watch with a white face, black numerals and red second hand, military time and a lighted dial. As an older person, I also wanted a watch with a larger face for better legibility. I didn't need the date window as I can't see it anyway, and I didn't want to set it monthly. The description of this medical watch seems to fit. I wear a 38mm Apple Watch which I really like and thought this watch would be the same size. Slightly wider than my Apple Watch, probably due to the round shape. Having smaller wrists I would have preferred a slightly smaller size, but that's a matter of personal preference. Luminous hands are advertised as a feature of this model. It should be noted that only half the length of the arrows is illuminated. Since this watch is geared towards the medical field, I would have preferred it if the hands were luminous along their entire length. Luminous hour markers would also be nice, although with seconds markers this could make the dial look cramped. As with all watches with luminous hands and/or markers, you will need to expose the dial to bright light for a few seconds to make the hands glow in the dark. for a luminous dial. This feature is similar to the Timex Indiglo, where pressing the button illuminated the watch face for about three seconds. That's enough for someone like me to see time in the dark, but I understand the comments from medical professionals who claim that a few seconds is clearly not enough to complete a medical task. It would be nice if there was an option to leave the watch on longer and then turn it off manually when needed. Of course, that would eat up more battery life, but the user should still be aware of that. In summary, for my own use, it serves my purpose as a non-tech watch for everyday use. I looked at cheaper Timex Easy Reader models with similar features, but settled on this watch due to the combination of red and black on the dial for better legibility. I took off a star because the watch is overpriced but I hope the battery lasts a few years and the long term reliability can justify the extra cost. The time will show.
