Recommended by my orthopedist. You are not here to read about my problems with plantar fasciitis but this is sure to be of great help. You will probably notice them on your shoes the first time you use them. I was concerned that I would have a "dowel run" feeling in my bows. After a few hours of these supports taking the pressure off my plantar fascia, I began to feel comfortable. I now find shoes without these insoles uncomfortable and my heel and ankle pain has been reduced by 85-90% (almost gone). I didn't have any quality problems. I might have wished for a little more slip resistance, but I've learned to wear slip-on shoes and keep them in place. I find the 3/4 length very comfortable as it offers support and fits easily in all the shoes I have. I've been told that custom orthotics cost around $350 and last 4-5 days. The doctor said they should be replaced about every 6 months, which is about $80 a year. They cost about as much as individual orthopedic insoles. It doesn't make sense to me for a custom route, but I understand your needs may differ from mine. The only wish is to make something like a sock slipper with these inserts. I hate wearing shoes indoors, but life is more comfortable with insoles.
