Wow, these are the five toe shoes I've been dreaming of since I bought my first pair a few years ago. Surprisingly comfortable and incredibly light. They are sold for everyday use but I practically live in them and also use them for trail running. There is a lot of gravel and pebbles on my paths. They hold things (KSO) almost as well as my old KSO Treks that were designed for them, but they're twice as light and go a lot easier when you have to shake a pebble. I don't know yet how well the soles hold up for trail running, but despite all the benefits, I'd be willing to buy a few pairs (this is my second pair, but the first pair is holding up well so far). I'm not particularly keen on the heel fold feature, but it works very well. Penny loafers, while decorative on the top of the forefoot, seem to work well as a forefoot stabilizer that doesn't require adjustment. I agree with other reviewers that they should be a size larger than your usual five finger size. 43 is perfect for me in the older Bikila LS and 44 is perfect for this model.
