TEST HOME BUTTON on Digitizers

This was my very first attempt at replacing the iPad screen. My daughter's screen broke and we couldn't swipe to unlock it. I attached the screen with tape and used a hair dryer to get to the edge of the screen as instructed. The screen still cracked, but the tape helped. Once I got everything ready, installing the tape was a chore. Fat thumbs and fat fingers are difficult when inserting cables, but manageable. Take your time no matter what you're doing when replacing a digitizer. The new digitizer's home button didn't work, I didn't test that part. Check the home button. I used the old one and after replacing it, it worked perfectly. With all the price and time it took to get a replacement, it was worth it to see my daughter happy with her iPad and not having to save up and buy a new one.
