Pleased with this inexpensive hay sack. Ideal for a double row, traditional rectangular hay bale with plenty of room. I use it to store hay for my guinea pigs as hay for horses costs a lot less than hay for small animals. I love knowing that my guinea pigs can enjoy their hay whenever they want (they love to use it for both bedding and food so I've always "wasted a bit") and it hasn't cost me a fortune tasted I didn't lock the bag. So I can't say how long/well the zipper will last. To keep the hay fresh, I simply put a lid over the bale to allow air to circulate. The bale was stored in my garage/workshop and it was a very wet summer. It's been about 4 months and the hay is still fresh and safe. The bag is also great if you don't have a pickup when driving to the hay from a farm or shop. Just load it in your bag and then in your car and clean up is no problem!
