I was looking for something that would give me a reliable Bluetooth 5.0 connection and all the USB dongles seemed questionable. The ability to use the wireless network for networking was also tempting, especially since I needed to (theoretically) beat the speeds of wired GigE. This justified paying for a premium card at a premium price. Installation was easy and seamless (assuming you can easily add PCIe peripherals to your desktop), and the external antenna design made it easy. Windows 10 automatically detected all the necessary drivers. Bluetooth worked great and I can get a decent signal across two rooms. The only drawback was WiFi. Even though I'm using an ac1900 router less than 3 meters from an outside antenna, the maximum throughput I can get is around 850Mbps with a simple ISO copy test. A wired GigE connection can run at full speed. So I just turn WiFi off when I don't need it.
