In general they are very good. Shoes. I give them 4 stars but I could almost give them 5 stars and would certainly consider giving them 4 1/2 stars if I could. These are not soft comfortable shoes but they are well made, even durable and support my feet. In general they are comfortable. My only real issue with these shoes is that I ordered the size I always wear and have worn for years, but they are still a little longer, maybe a little wider than usual. So if I just wear them around the house, I don't notice any problems. However, when I walk in our area where there are small hills, I notice that my feet move a little in the shoes and this movement creates friction, which makes my feet hotter and also a little irritating. 08/07/2016 I bought these shoes again in a different color and 1/2 size smaller. This new set seems spot on. I haven't tested them as much while walking around my area, but when I did I did NOT have the same issues as my original pair. Here's my summary: PROS: * Well made, semi-rigid * Good support, including arch support. CONS: *Runs up about 1/2 size larger in my experience, maybe a bit wider than average *Shoelaces maybe a bit too long and longer than needed, but that's a bit finicky.
