It looks like a personal desktop air cooler. It can also be good for the bedroom at night. This is a one person fan as it has a 4" x 8" L fan area. This is the size of a large tall (11 inch) insulated 64 oz. Thermos. Good, unobtrusive table size. As a water-powered fan, it performs well for about 4.5 hours on low settings. I'm assuming the bowl holds 8 ounces/cup of water. After the water in the water bowl is used up, it continues to work as a fan. After the water drains, there is a strong smell of ozone, and manual adjustment to remove it is not possible. It automatically adjusts to a fan-only setting but retains the ozone smell. Overall I think it was a good buy for my needs. I don't have to constantly freeze from a large cooling system for most of the summer, I can cool well on my desk at home with just this small fan and blower. For those five weeks of summer when temperatures soar above 100 in a dry environment it's really good for extra cooling, along with a large running cooling system. When the temperature in the house fluctuates between 70 and 80, I only need a fan on my desk to cool me down.
