Really love these treats, plan to order in larger volume. Have been ordering Merrick lamb lung for years but really smell funky and recent bags have contained a significant amount of waste (in the form of powdered lung) in the bottom of the bag. The one good thing about Merrick product is that it is sourced from New Zealand where sheep are 100 percent grass fed which makes the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio perfect (much higher in omega 3's) and anti-inflammatory. I am a small animal veterinarian and the science of what I am feeding my dogs is important to me. Just because product is pasture raised does not mean it is 100 percent grass fed.some animals are sent to feed lot and fed grain prior to sale to increase their weight for higher profit. Plan to contact company and research this, would appreciate more information on the bag.
