Out of the box, I quickly assembled & folded the light into a triangle shape, and left it on a table outside for 2 days.After 2 days on the table that gets maybe 5 hours of sun, I moved the light (temporarily) atop a shelf that gets literally zero sun ever… after 11 days straight without any sunlight at all, this thing still illuminates the entire porch with BRIGHT light when anyone walks in front of it(!) Wow! This easily works as a lantern as well. Very bright light.We will permanently install it where gets some sun of course, but have no worries about whether or not your location gets enough sunlight! The panels are efficient and the motion sensor works well.I’m blown away with the great functionality of this solar light and it’s already exceeded our expectations. I recommend this for easy illumination with no batteries or power source necessary.
