Review on Capezio Womens Canvas Juliet Ballet Sports & Fitness and Other Sports by Jonny Dogruyol

Great for teachers!

These are by far my favorite flats! I teach 13 classes a week and take three or four classes a year. Juliette used to have embroidered elastics (as seen in Revane's photo), but in the last year or so they have been attached. The attached elastic fits my feet well, but I've heard other dancers with high arches have issues with their tight fit. I have a normal arch but the shape of this shoe makes my feet look way prettier than they really are! The tip is incredibly long - maybe twice as long as needed! I've never done this before this shoe, but now I cut about eight inches off the toe before tying it. I try to be as careful with my shoes as possible; I avoid wearing them on anything other than the dance floor and clean them when I get my tops dirty. I usually wear a hole in my big toe when they start to look gray and dusty. If I have a small tear in my toe, I am not allowed to wear shoes for about two weeks. Once the hole is about the size of an eraser, it will gape open fairly quickly. I have never found the perfect tights to match the color of these shoes, even with Capezio tights. It's not a huge problem (as evidenced by the fact that I'm still the same), but it can be annoying for gigs and level scores.
