Don't trust this CF card reader. The guides that align with your CF card are made of soft plastic and do not always align the holes in the CF card with the pins in the reader. As a result, contacts are bent and data is lost. When I looked at the CF port, I realized what had happened. It is well known in material development that two sliding surfaces should NEVER be made of the same material, especially two soft materials. So the guide slots in the CF hang from the thin, soft plastic guides in this reader. My Hoodman reader used metal. (It was connected to my desktop PC.) CF cards (and your photos) are too important and too expensive to be entrusted to this cheap piece of CR#P. Was on a trip and while trying to upload my 371 bird photos discovered that two of the pins were bent. It's very patchy, smoothing them out in my hotel room with a small pocket knife.
