We have a mobile home and will be using it for scattered camping while visiting Alaska in the near future. Keeping our home batteries charged is important and this product does a great job of doing that. Using a solar panel is easy. Open it towards the sun and connect the cable to the batteries. Leave. There are no gauges to look at, or flashing lights or anything, but make sure the device is facing the sun. Plug it in and it will work. We don't have one of the popular portable inverter generators of the moment, so the solar panels connect to our battery banks via a weatherproof box using MC4 adapters. What you charge and how you attach this device to the panels is important, but is beyond the scope of this review. You need to think about how you are going to do this. Overall, we are very satisfied with this device and can recommend it.
