I've been using it for about two weeks and it seems to pull about 1/4 cup of water out of the air every 24-36 hours. We use it in our laundry room which is usually very humid when we run the dryer. It's winter now and we don't do as much laundry so I think this will remove even more water from the air in the summer. When the weather warms up I'll probably put it next to my bed as the soft whirr of a fan will be a great "white noise" to fall asleep to. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
