Review on πŸ“± Eogifee Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control and Receiver Kit with 3 Speed/Light Dimmer Control - Compatible Replacement for Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze Fans (CHQ7078T UC7078T HD5 Fan-HD RR7079T) by Keith Saywon

This OLD MODEL Hampton Bay's only remote works like a charm!

This remote control is for OLD MODEL Hampton Bay fans. Therefore, no separate receiver is supplied for installation and no universal receiver needs to be purchased. The remote control is a transmitter. On older Hampton Bay fans, the receiver is built into the fan rather than under a pedestal attached to the ceiling. This is the round yellow part. In the new Hampton Bays, the receiver is a rectangular black box with four wires protruding from it. If you see a remote that also comes with the receiver, it's for the newer Hampton Bay model. If you have a new Hampton Bay, this remote will NOT communicate with the receiver. If you're replacing a remote from an older Hampton Bay model, it will work like a charm. Most importantly, LOOK AT THE PICTURE. If your old remote looks exactly like this, it works. Simply insert a 9V battery into the remote control (press the down arrow on the back of the remote control in the direction of the arrow to slide the battery cover). First look inside the old remote control with the battery cover removed. There are a number of DIP switches (4); Use your stylus to move the switches on the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. Replace the battery in the new remote and you should be good to go.

Pros
  • πŸ’›The fan button controls 3 speeds (high/medium/low). Please note that the receiver has no reverse function. But it is compatible with ceiling fans with reverse switch and works well with reverse fans. Condition.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
