I like this idea as my tree doesn't have the ability to connect the top. However, the cord is too short and I had to use an unsightly extension on a 7.5ft tree. I completely overlooked the part where you have to wind the headlights yourself. If you've ever looked into fairy lights, you know what a fun mess this is. :/ Buy an already made topper for the same money. Also, the base is ruffled so that the topper doesn't stay inside. Not that big of a problem if that was the only problem. More importantly, it's very poorly made, each corner is dry bent so they separate and in some places barely stick together. There are also sharp splinters holding the branches together, but the most dangerous are the protruding sharp metal bits, possibly from broken staples that cut me pretty badly.
