Work with one hand if you are magic. A hand and a foot are more like that. Carrying a picky kid and trying to hold a dog while you unlock the gate and re-equip the armor is a balancing act. They're a lot slower than my previous gate which I just opened and went through, but aesthetically it's nice. chunky gates make the space look nice and they break off the brackets to reveal a hallway instead of unscrewing the gate. It's annoying as hell when you're in a rush and wasting time fumbling with the latches.
