I'm no leather worker or materials expert, but I can confidently promise you that this purse is so freaking amazing that whatever "leather" it's made out of just became the best kind (personally, I'm pretty sure it IS genuine leather, just treated with something to keep it shiny and scratch resistant). This purse is absolutely stunning and looks just like it does in the picture: it's shiny and stands up on its own, with or without stuff inside. The straps are strong. It's so stylish and beautiful that it literally hurts me to gaze upon it. Furthermore, I've owned this bag for several weeks and despite constant usage, it doesn't look a speck different than when i got it brand new! I actually think this is why people are confused as to whether the purse is made out of real leather or not: because its exterior has been treated with something that protects it and keeps it shiny. Honestly, I'm ok with that. I've had way more expensive purses made out of untreated leather start accumulating marks and scratches after being used a few times. They do not have the shine, stability, or downright beauty of this purse.
