This is exactly what I wanted to use with my Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Easy to use, small enough to fit in a tote bag and gets the job done. The only problem I have is that when my surface pro is already on and I connect this product to my surface and then to my tv, sometimes the sound doesn't come from the tv but from my surface. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my Surface/TV/HDMI/Adapter so I didn't knock out a star. But I've found that turning the Surface on and off usually solves the problem. In general it's cheap. and does the job, so don't hesitate to buy!
