After our local upholstery shop charged $600 for a new console cover that was blown away by a strong wind one day, I decided to look for an alternative. I bought this console cover and was happy with it at first, I even made reinforced holes on the bottom to thread the rope to keep it from snapping. But as the season progressed, this coating showed more and more UV damage, to the point that by October the fabric was just starting to fall apart and showed large tears. And it wasn't Florida sun, it was upstate New York. In any case, this season I've decided to try another brand, more expensive, let's see if it lasts. Incidentally, the heavy black garbage bag I use for months of boat storage lasts six months with no problems, and I can still use it as a garbage bag after taking it off the console.
