Left joystick visor wobbles

I wasn't just hoping I was expecting a quality product as this is an OEM product. Although the product looked good on the outside, it didn't work at all on the PC. Both joysticks had a lot of play and would not return to the center position on their own. Not too big of a problem. This was usually close enough to the center that no movement was registered in most games. My big problem is the alignment of the left joystick. It's as if both axes (X and Y) are tilted a few degrees to the right. This means if I push the joystick forward, my character will move slightly to the right. In other words, if I press the joystick at 12 o'clock, the computer registers that the joystick is pointing at approximately 2 o'clock. When I pull it back, the sign moves back to the left (registers 8 hours instead of 6). Calibration didn't help, and the Microsoft XBox Accessories app didn't even recognize it as a controller. In Windows Calibration you can see the visual representation of the joystick and it was always off. If I pressed right it registered right and down, if I pressed left it registered left and up. Needless to say, playing such games was pointless. If I wanted to play games with the entire controller tilted to the left, maybe a joystick would be usable, but since it came out of the box and despite trying different drivers, different USB ports, etc., this controller was practically unusable. So I returned it. And due to the almost myriad of bad things I hear about the XBox One controller all over the place (one of the reasons I got it instead), I sadly don't think I'll be coming back for a Microsoft product. Luckily I seem to be one of the few to have had a negative experience with this controller, but it has made me cautious enough to look elsewhere for a replacement.
