Peculiar, annoying

I am outraged by Apple for forcing us to use them. Additional costs, clutter, cables, fuss, figuring out, etc. Above all, this device has a beautiful physical design and is aesthetically pleasing. On the physical level, Bridge didn't skimp. It is difficult. Nice. As you would expect, it works well as a laptop wedge/support. At first it didn't seem like it, but in the end I realized it might work. There are cryptic sequences that require you to connect devices and cables. Examples: I connect a USB mixer to my laptop through the Stone II and then need to turn on the mixer. If I turn it on before it's plugged in, the beep is lowered by about 2 notes (very odd!). You can power a laptop (Macbook Air 2020) through it, but you can't charge your phone through it. Even when the laptop is connected. Most of the time it works with a USB mouse. Every time I plug it in I have to check it because I don't trust it. It's finicky and unreliable with a mouse. There's some "first this, then that, then it will work". Not intuitive. But it will work. It's annoying when it's running fast, and we don't want to mess around with finicky hardware. Very unique, lots of trial and error. I'm stuck with it and need to use it regularly. Configurations change regularly. Devices are regularly connected and disconnected. Its secret rules add resistance. When you get him, get ready to know his unique wants and needs, and prepare to give him special attention in the middle of your workflow. This is my first center so I'm not sure if it's unique. about this design, or is it a known issue with hubs in general. I'm not sure if a more expensive model will solve some of these issues by adding its own power supply. If you use it to access external hard drives, you will probably be satisfied with it. Although I've found that drives don't like to be ejected when prompted. I'll live with it.
