Review on Peak Design Travel Line Backpack by Robert Trevino

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bag, perfect size, worth the investment!

I'm 50 years old and have a little more time and money to travel, so I decided to invest in a good bag that I can take anywhere. This bag makes it possible. Good solid construction, durable materials, plenty of space, well thought out features without being overly complicated. Just got back from a week in Yellowstone and the bag was immaculate with plenty of room for all my gear. I love how easy it is to access each branch. Comfortable and easily stowable shoulder straps are a great feature. On this trip we had to fly on a smaller plane (2 seats on each side) and there was little room to listen. Anyone seated in front of me was given a tag and asked to leave their bag for storage along with their checked luggage. I just unbuckled my shoulder straps and slung the bag on my back, and the guard didn't ask me to take the badge. My wife, who had to check her bag, giggled and said it would never fit. As we boarded the plane, I quickly removed the shoulder straps and, to her surprise, slipped the bag into the tiny overhead compartment. It was nice not having to wait with everyone else for my bag to be delivered. I definitely caught a few looks walking by with my bag on my back. I'm going to Panama, then Europe, and I can't wait to pack my bag for another run.

Pros
  • Luggage and travel gear
Cons
  • Expensive
