Review on Gentle Make Up Remover with Renewal Oil by Andrew Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive, I have other oil based makeup removers that work just as well for half the price.

I have normal and dry skin with very dry areas. I put makeup all over my face almost every day, so I always clean it twice. First I use an oil or balm to remove makeup and then I wash my face with a cleanser. I'm usually more inclined towards oils than balms, so when I saw this I was excited to try it! It has a lot of good ingredients, but at the end of the list of ingredients is the taste. I didn't notice much smell so whatever it is it's not too strong. It glides wonderfully over the skin. It removes makeup really well. Even when I'm wearing full face makeup, full coverage foundation, mascara, etc., they come off easily. I just rub it on my face and watch the makeup start to melt. I wash my face with water and then I go to wash my face. Even when I use an oily cleanser, I usually still get makeup on when I wash my face with the cleanser afterwards, which is why I love the double cleanse. There's still some makeup with this one, but just a little bit. For an oil-based makeup remover, that's a bit pricey in my opinion. I have others that I have used that are half the price and work just as well. It removes makeup really well so I like it and I think it works well. But I personally just don't spend money on something that does exactly the same thing as what I can get for half the price. Taking the price out of the equation I think this is a great oily makeup remover that removes makeup really well and keeps my skin hydrated.
