Review on Audit Extraction Cockpit (AEC) by Doug Layman

I like this tool because it allows me to pull information from multiple sources into one place, which makes my job easier when looking for missing financials or tax returns. It also has several connectors that will allow you to access other useful tools such as XBRL feeds via API's. The cost of using Aec is high compared with competitors in our space who offer similar services but are free. We use this software internally so we do not have any customers yet. However, there was no noticeable difference between functionality before switching over vs now with Aec. If used correctly - i.e., only pulling required reports/data -- then yes! Great product, highly recommend!! Internal audits across all departments within an organization.
