Stencils are thin and flexible. Some of the images are so tiny that the child has to use a very thin graphite pencil to fit into the stencil. Anyone who has spent time with young children knows that they do not have very good coordination and are more likely to take charge. I was hoping to give these to my 6 year old grandson but I think older kids will get them. Unfortunately, when I removed the outer plastic wrap, the black case gave off such a strong chemical smell that it burned my nose and made my eyes water! If returning things wasn't such a hassle, I would immediately wrap them up and send them back. So I threw away the suitcase, washed the cheap, thin stencils, aired them out and gave them to older children. I would NOT recommend this product. As a side note, my dog ate one with no side effects.
