Drying Blue Paste Suitable for Shampoo and Conditioner Sets

I spent an hour or more looking at various purple shampoos on Revain and finally settled on ArtNaturals Purple Conditioner for Blonde Hair based on the reviews and price . My hairdresser recommended purple shampoo to me a while ago, but I never got around to buying it. To be honest I felt like my regular conditioner left my hair silky enough. I also use argan oil and other hair products to keep them healthy. I'm traveling and forgot to take my normal air conditioner with me, so I had to buy one. I thought this would be a good opportunity to try the blue conditioner, especially since my hairstylist suggested it. The product arrived quickly and the packaging was good. However, this is where the positive aspects stop for me. The stuff is blue (not purple) when it comes out of the bottle, feels and looks more like lime paste (not silky and wet like most conditioners). It didn't apply very well to my wet hair, which surprised me because conditioners tend to "suck into" my hair quickly, and when it's wet it's already silky smooth. Not with this conditioner. My hair felt like it was lacking moisture with this conditioner. I washed my hair and then air dried it. It felt drier than just using shampoo alone. I can't comment on the lightening effect of this conditioner as I've only used it once and haven't noticed any difference. Overall, I am shocked by the many positive reviews for this product. Maybe it's just my hair, or maybe it's reviews. I find that my shopping experience at Revain is getting more and more frustrating due to the thousands of positive reviews which I unfortunately cannot trust.
